Thea Eskey is an established writer with 10 years of experience in everything from songwriting to journalism. Passionate about her work as a writer, she recently completed That’s Entertainment!, a research intensive screenplay about MGM in the 1930’s through the 1970’s. The screenplay examines the ways in which the system of Golden Age Hollywood exploited the likes of Judy Garland, Lena Horne and Gene Kelly as they attempted to reach for their respective dreams. Thea is also working on a series of long-form local and national investigative reports focused on topics of relating to justice, placemaking and bureaucratic failures. It is stories like these that she is passionate about. Stories that voice important issues that are not traditionally given attention and have the power to change the way in which we view the world.
Thea is very much looking forward to utilizing her talents to create safer and more just communities, ones which tirelessly advocate on behalf of those most in need.
