During the summer of 2018, Woods exposed a two-year law enforcement cover-up surrounding the Malibu Creek State Park shootings. Later that year, she provided the most comprehensive local news coverage of the Woolsey Fire, generating more than one million views across her social media platforms.
Since 2020, Woods was the only journalist consistently reporting on ongoing public corruption involving former Los Angeles Metro CEO Phil Washington.
